You will be working together on the sidelines with a volunteer from the opposing team to keep track of the plays each player gets. You will be given a team roster with the players names on it and you will need to place a check mark when a player is in on a play. The coaches will most likely be looking at your sheet to see who has not met the required plays, and that is ok. Once all players have met the required plays your job is done and you must sign and hand the sheet over to the person assisting you who will give it to their team’s head coach.
If you are on the opposing side as the volunteer you are in charge of writing down the plays on the sheet and handing it in. If you are on your own team’s side as the volunteer you will assist in spotting the players.
C Games require each player to have a minimum of 6 plays, and special teams plays such as kick-off, kick-return, punts, and punt returns do not count toward the 6. Penalty plays that do not result in the down being played do not count.
A and B Games require each player to have a minimum of 6 plays and they can include the special teams. Penalty plays that do not result in the down being played do not count.
Once a player has reached their min plays you do not need to track them anymore.
Any team not meeting the minimum plays will forfeit the game.
Bylaw--
Substitutions: Free substitutions and all A-B-C-MM players must play in at least six (6) plays per game to include kickoffs and special teams. MM and C players must play in minimum of 6 plays OTHER THAN KICK-OFFS AND PUNTS.
