The CTYFL provides an opportunity to cheer in an
organized, supervised, safety oriented manner, emphasizing fun for all, and
encourages the development of qualities important long after cheerleading
ends. To instill and develop qualities such as good sportsmanship, poise,
neatness and teamwork. Which will stay with the participants in good stead
throughout their lives.

The CTYFL
cheerleading program has been growing rapidly, at this time all towns in the
CTYFL have cheer squads at all levels of play.
Cheerleaders will not only cheer at the games on Sunday but they also
compete at the annual CTYFL Cheer Competition. The Cheer Competition
is held at the end of October. This competition allows the cheerleaders to
showcase all their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
This competition is meant to give the players a good goal to shoot for,
just as the football players, and at the same time we try and keep it
fun. All four squads will go to competition. A, B, and C squads are
considered competitive and all cheer squads will compete against
eachother in the CTYFL Cheerleading Division. Mighty Mites don't
compete, but they do participate in the Competition by performing an
exhibition routine.
